FAQs

How long is a chiropractic treatment?
Your initial consultation will normally last for 45 minutes and follow up treatments are approximately 15 minutes. Treatment times can vary depending on your individual needs, for example, treatments for babies are always a little longer to allow for feeding and nappy changes as needed.

How much does a visit cost?

Your first consultation will be 65€ and follow-up treatments are 45€. Please be aware that we only accept cash.

Do chiropractic corrections hurt?
Treatment is very comfortable when carried out by a qualified and experienced chiropractor. Every person has different needs and responds differently to treatment so for that reason we use a range of different techniques and tailor all of our treatments to the individual.

How often will I need to visit?
Your chiropractor will advise you of this during your first visit as it varies for each person, but generally your care will consist of a “correction phase” to address your symptoms and a “stabilisation phase” to ensure that problems do not come back in the future. Many people also chose for “maintenance care” where they come back for a few treatments each year to ensure that their bodies stay healthy and in balance. Just like a healthy diet or a visit to the dentist, a regular check up of your spine function and nervous system health is very important.

Is chiropractic safe?

Chiropractic is widely recognised as one of the safest non-invasive treatments available for neuro-musculoskeletal complaints. Records of adverse reactions are extremely rare and your chiropractor is an expert at detecting any underlying conditions which could mean that you need some further investigations before starting treatment.

Will I need photos of my back?
Your chiropractor will conduct a full examination and assessment on your first visit. If it is deemed necessary to obtain further imaging of your spine then your chiropractor can refer you to your doctor for further investigations. Chiropractors are highly skilled in reading x-rays, MRI scans and CT scans so you can always bring your imaging with you for discussion with your chiropractor.

I am not sure if Chiropractic is for me – what do you suggest?
If you are concerned that chiropractic will not be able to help you, or you have a very specific medical history, please do not hesitate to contact us and we can talk you through your options.

Will I receive treatment on my first visit?
The chiropractor will carry out a full assessment on your first visit and discuss with you your symptoms and medical history. After this you will receive your first treatment, unless the chiropractor feels it is necessary to first do some further investigations before you start treatment.

Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No, you do not need a GP referral to book an appointment with us.

Will my private health insurance cover my treatment costs?
Our chiropractors are registered with all of the Belgian Mutualities. You will receive a paper receipt at each treatment where you can claim some reimbursement from your insurance.
